One of the most important themes to emerge while researching this project is how delicate our local environment is, and how key members of our community and local organisations work to change the tide on climate change and protect our local environment. From the restoration of Kelp Farms by Sussex Wildlife Trust to the incredible work of the Plastic Free Seaford team The Beacon Show explores the ways our community can be part of a global and local change in co2 levels and waste reduction.

The Beacon Show was created and produced by Sussex Contemporary Illustrators & Printmakers (SCIP), a Seaford based arts charity passionate about the local community and telling stories through contemporary visual arts. It has taken over 12 months of fundraising, research, and design to make this project a reality.

Without the incredible generosity of our principal sponsors this exhibition would never have happened
