'Arts Night' brings you fascinating insights from the creative industries by established professionals working in various mediums.

Simon Armstrong from Ticktockrobot Animation will be speaking about the work that went into making his Green Show animation UnNatural. Using video and imagery he will take the audience through the entire creative process from sketching and early ideas, through to the modelling, rigging, texturing, animating and compositing of the wildlife that inhabits the animation. Not to be missed!

Paul Farrell will also be joining us to talk about his work and inspirations. Paul is a graphic artist, illustrator, printmaker and based in Newport. His bold, colourful, graphic style is inspired by shape and colour and an interest in graphic arts and nature. Before concentrating on a solo career, Paul had worked as a graphic designer in London for 20 years. He is the author of Great Britain in Colour published by Boxtree, an imprint of PanMacmillan.

We are delighted to announce that local author Giles Paley-Phillips will also be our guest. He will chat to us about the success of his children's books and recent podcast series BLANK for which he has interviewed many well known actors and broadcasters including Louis Theroux, Reece Sheersmith and Mark Gatiss.
