SCIP Youth

Our SCIP Youth programme is an environment where young people aged 11 - 18 can explore their creativity and have a say about how they access contemporary visual arts in their community. It is designed to provide young people with a safe space where they can explore their own creativity without the pressure of grades, be them selves and have creative fun!

Each meet up will be completely different, we like to explore new materials and techniques, enjoy the process of experimenting with none of the pressures of grades and assesments. From printmaking to painting, sculpture to photography we hope to cover a wide range of creative processes!

You do not need to be a budding artist to join.... you may never have stepped in an art gallery, or picked up a paint brush - we really don't mind.

There is absolutely no cost involved in being part of SCIP Youth, all materials will be covered by our project funding and sponsorship.

How often and where?

The SCIP Youth meetups are currently once every month during term time, and sometimes we will offer extra sessions linked with our projects. Our workshops take place at The Crypt Gallery in Seaford. You will need to book in so we are always sure to have enough space and materials!

What if I miss a meetup?

It's not a problem at all, we know its tricky to be at every meet up, just come along when you can!

Who Can Join?

Any one aged between 11 and 18 and living in Sussex can join SCIP Youth. We are fully inclusive and celebrate diversity.

Please note we are over subscribed at the moment, but please send us your details and join up as we are working hard to raise enough funds to increase our sessions and we hope that will happen soon!
